had to share this email

Tommy Zito´s first appearance at Merv Griffin´s Resorts Casino Hotel was in Merv´s lounge named Mr. G´s. Tommy joined the highly talented summer lineup which headlined Mr. G´s. For over ten years Tommy was a favorite of all guests and many Headlined acts of Resorts who would regularly watch Tommy performances as well as join him on stage for a song or two. Merv Griffin would request and enjoyed Tommy´s rendition of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis´s "That´s Amore". Myself and the rest of Resorts Entertainment Dept. has nothing but respect for what Tommy brought to Resorts and it´s guest, and wish Tommy the best in the future.

ian the seeing - Thursday, August 9th, 2007 9:57 AM EDT
if all the people who share their suggestions & advise would become voting members ($10 for a year w/ benefits),
we would of been able to start our first vote.

please consider becoming a voting member and ask your creative & intelligent friends to become a voting member.

barry bonds has done nothing for me, chris rock has-- making me laugh and feel & think, isn't it time that the media, especially lv media gives at least 30 to 60 seconds a day to feature a lv musician, writer, dancer, artist????

we will be sending out a petition for people to sign who support everyday media coverage of the creative.

Oh, PS
Please don't forget musician, performer, radio personality and song writer Les Baer and King Henry & The Showmen.

Hi Everyone
We just got back to PA. for Musikfest and wanted to thank you for considering Tommy as a possible candidate for the Lehigh Valley Creative Hall of Fame inductions. We feel bad that we are often on the road, working out of state, and unable to keep up with current local events so, we also thank you for filling us in from time to time on what is going on in the Lehigh Valley music scene.
Our respect and admiration goes out to those involved in the organization and maintenance of the Creative Hall of Fame, Music Awards, media and other local music sites and organizations for the hard work, time and effort you put forth, for no benefit of your own, to acknowledge the accomplishments and history made, both in and beyond Pennsylvania, by our local artist's. Your selfless contributions have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated and, we salute you.

We would also like to mention a few groups with members from the Lehigh Valley. We are not sure if all of them had the opportunity Tommy had, as a member of Uproar, Magnum and Aviator, to have had songs released that bubbled under the top 100 of Billboard, appear on TV shows like The Jerry Blavat Show and Dancin On Air, tour the states out to California or perform outside of the United States, as he did but, they were fantastic groups who greatly contributed to the history and Lehigh Valley "Music Explosion" of the mid-sixties and beyond. Some of those groups were, Johnny D and Joey Colarusso's High Keys, Sam Losagio and Bob Scammell's Combinations, Richie Kerecz and Steve Molchany's Dooley Invention and Chuck Hoey's Kings Ransom, to name a few. There was a healthy competition among these groups who, then and now are members of the old school of musician camaraderie. They had respect & admiration and enjoyed the talent of their fellow musicians, regardless of the difference in style or genre which, is something many of us would like to see a little more of today. Once again, thanks for keeping us posted. Love, Jan & Tommy Zito

I'll call in my membership later today.

It's a real good thing that you are doing here and the site is attractive.

May I suggest that you put up a demo page of A future LV Creative Hall of Fame member?

Perhaps "The Rock"??????

It's a beautiful thing that you guys are starting. I hope you get the support, my $10 membership check is in the mail (no kidding). Where is Jake Kaligis in the nominees, he's a talent and has performed many benefits.
I guess Sarah Ayers isn't nominated because of the 10 year guideline?

Alex - Sunday, April 22nd, 2007 6:18 PM EDT
Thank You

Nick Mancina -- Tunicks - Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 7:44 PM EDT
Thanks for emailing me and letting me know about this great opportunity. There's way too many unsung hero's around the valley that don't get the recognition they deserve.

ian being - Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 9:45 AM EDT
kudos to the first wave of creative people who know this is a good thing that we are co-creating.

i got tired of seeing athletes being spotlighted on tv, talked about for a half-hour on radio & tv shows
because they could throw a basketball into a hoop 10 to 15 times per game. Did watching sports ever do anything wonderful for me???
just past time.

the people who have changed my life-=johnny cash, walt whitman, william defoe, chris rock, george carlin and many other creative persons, showed me how a song could change a terrible place (western state prison) into a heaven of joy. how a few poetic lines could make me feel the EQUAL of any president or prostitute who has ever lived. how truth & thinking can produce mass laughter and dive us deep into our humanity.

sports are great for keeping in shape, but creativty will help us change the shape of things to come.

sam younes - Saturday, April 14th, 2007 8:25 AM EDT
first off thanks for the honor of being part of your networking.. Very Cool! If I can bring to light individuals that are not listed who I believe should be one of the first to be nominated are the DADDY LICKS BAND & SCOTT SHNECK who lost his battle with cancer last summer!

Joe Hardenberg - Thursday, April 12th, 2007 9:07 PM EDT
Thanks for inviting me to be a part of this concept Ian. There truly are many, many talented individuals and groups of individuals that have made a contribution to the betterment of the arts, civic, musical, and other areas of the Lehigh Valley. I offer my support in any way I can.

Joe Sparta - Thursday, April 12th, 2007 9:05 AM EDT
I am honored to be asked to be a part of this and will do so whole heartedly.

I would suggest, however that you make room for an artist who fulfills ALL of your nomination criteria. That person is Ian Holmes. This artist has not only gone on to national recognition, but has provided his time and talent to many community projects and other artists in the Lehigh Valley.

Charlie Brown - Wednesday, April 11th, 2007 11:16 PM EDT
not voteing , but i think i should be in the mix for some of the things i have donated my voice and time to in the lehigh vally, thanks

Barry Hay - Saturday, October 14th, 2006 10:34 AM EDT
There is a wealth of live music here in the Lehigh Valley and we need more avenues to get the word out. Every day of the week the Musicians of the Valley are out entertaining us and all we have to do is go out and listen. bhay www.hayblue.com

Scott Marshall - Tuesday, August 15th, 2006 5:20 PM EDT
I think what you're doing is very cool. There are so many talented individuals in the Lehigh Valley. As an original singer/songwriter, who just recently signed an independent record deal with SoulShakerRecords, I'm proud to say I'm from the Lehigh Valley. It's nice to see people working towards letting other residents in the Lehigh Valley know the talent that has been in the area, and or around the block. I wish you all the best, and look foward to seeing more on the other creatve individuals like myself whom I call friends
and neighbors.
Email me news or info, and if you like, you can check me out on myspace/scottmarshallband
Peace & God Bless...
